North Star worked with the client and architect to significantly reduce landfill waste and construction costs by using recycled wood, radiant flooring, a high-efficiency stove, cellulose insulation, and R Control panels. The exterior decking integrated the use of Trex panels, a wood and plastic composite lumber product and the existing dining room was re-used as a secondary workspace - detached and relocated to the backyard.
